The Info bar widget
The text bar that holds still — clock, date, weather, people count and air-quality chips, with optional room segments. One switch per segment, and where each reading comes from.
The still alternative for a text bar: a status bar of small fixed segments — time, date, weather, how many people are on the floor, air-quality readings — instead of text scrolling past. Each segment is a switch; the bar shows exactly the ones you turn on, and nothing moves.

How it behaves
The bar looks after itself, and each of these reads as a fault the first time you meet it:
- It sizes from the band. A thicker text bar gets a bigger clock and taller chips; there is no font-size slider on this widget. A band under about 64px drops to one compact line.
- Missing data hides, silently. No sensor for a reading means no chip — no dash, no zero. The same switch can therefore show a chip on one screen and nothing on another, and both are behaving.
- A narrow bar drops whole segments, never squeezes them: the room-status pill goes first, then the room group, the date, the air-quality chips, the people count and finally the weather. The clock never drops.
- Confidential meetings stay confidential. A booking marked private shows a reserved placeholder as its subject, not the meeting name.
- A left or right band works too — the segments stack down the band with the text kept horizontal, rather than turning on end like scrolling text.
What this does not control
- Whether anything scrolls. Nothing here does — words that move are the RSS Text and Announcements widgets.
- Where the readings come from. People counts and air quality are the floor’s sensors, managed in Devices — a Neat Pulse connection is one way they get there; the room segments read the room the device is bound to.
- Its size and colour. The design’s font size, appearance and widget background apply here like everywhere else — see Widgets and the places they go.
