The Video widget

An uploaded clip on the stage or an info card — how it fits the space, whether it loops, and what its audio does. Every setting, field by field.

Updated 19 Aug 2026

One video, played from a file you upload — a brand film in the lobby, a safety clip by the lifts. The file lives on the server, so the screen keeps playing it without a network in the room.

SettingWhat it doesWhen to change it
VideoThe clip it plays — the row opens the file page to upload or pick oneSwapping the clip is this one row; everything else stays
Display modeHow the clip meets the space: Crop overflow, Fit to the space or Fill all spaceFit to the space when nothing may be cut off; Fill all space only when stretching is acceptable
When it endsPlay once or Loop — loop is the defaultPlay once in a scene rotation, so the rotation moves on at the end
Move on after (seconds)With Loop, how long a scene keeps the stage before the rotation may move onA looping clip in a scene rotation would otherwise hold the stage
MuteSilences the clip — on by defaultOnly where the screen’s speakers should actually be heard
Volume0–100, once Mute is off

In a scene rotation a video is never cut off mid-play: with Play once the rotation moves on when the clip ends, and with Loop it moves on when Move on after (seconds) says so.

What this does not control

  • The design’s font size. Nothing in a video responds to the type ramp — media widgets ignore it, like the other design-wide settings in Widgets and the places they go.
  • Several clips in turn. One widget plays one file — a rotation of many is the Playlist widget, or Scenes on the stage.
