Set the equipment's building, floor and room. A screen that lives in Lecture Theatre A is then offered with that room — not as a campus-wide item someone can attach to a class on the other site.

Yes. Set the equipment location to that room. The form then offers it with the space, not as a campus-wide free-for-all.
